Dear Clare, Fionnán and Eunan,
Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of my colleague and good friend Declan.
These are the most difficult times for your family.
I have known Declan through our work for the Royal Society of Chemistry (Northern Ireland). He always will be remembered as a passionate educator of this subject.
We will remember his quizzes, especially questions about hard rock music and chemistry, of course.
My thoughts and deepest sympathies are with you.
