On behalf of the Pushkin Trust, I offer our condolences to the wife and family of the late John McConnell CBE. We were saddened today to learn of his passing. John was a highly esteemed member of the Trustee Board, founded by the late Sacha, Duchess of Abercorn, located at Baronscourt, Co Tyrone, from its inception in 1986. We have lost a dear colleague, a man who was knowledgeable, helpful and a warm and caring human being. We shall miss his wise counsel and reassuring presence.

I am sorry beyond words to learn of John’s passing. A wonderful friend, a special person to so many people, trusted and always helpful.
We are all saddened by John’s passing and he leaves us all with a great sense of loss.
