Sincere sympathies to Maureen’s family on her untimely death, May she rest in peace with her beloved husband, Mike, who was a brother of our Mother, Eileen was the youngest sister of Bobby as she called him. Eileen came back to Ireland with her parents as a baby and Bobby, who was then an older teenager stayed in Canada and then emigrated to Las Vegas, where many years later he met his soulmate,Maureen,
I have fond memories of Maureen visiting us in Waterford many years ago.
She was a great character and loved walking the beaches and touring the South east area which has lovely scenery but probably not as nice as Co Down although she never said that! Mother loved the chats with Maureen and heard all about her nieces who were similar ages to us but sadly she developed Alzheimer’s a few years before Mike died and the contact dwindled after that.
Thinking of you all at this sad time.
