To us, Bertie was the essence of what the Irish calla lovely man' : friendly, welcoming, kind, curious, open to all sorts of new experiences, always willing to help and possessed of an extraordinary range of knowledge and skills. If he could not work out what the problem was and fix it, then it was obvious that it couldn't be fixed!
We send our sympathy, condolences and love to the whole Alcorn family. You will certainly miss him and mourn his loss, but, like us, you will have all kinds of fond memories and you will also know that lots and lots of others will miss him too. To us, he and Doreen simply WERE Drumnacraig.
