I knew Gazza as a knowledgeable and passionate Rolling Stones fan from IORR. There he had not only demonstrated knowledge and wit, but his way of writing articles made me enjoy reading (and learning) English. I met Gary in person for the first time in 2005 before the Ronnie Wood concert at the Drury Lane Theater in London. We had a few beers and he said: "I would be surprised if none of the Stones came on stage!" He was such a gentleman, he didn't say anything more. After the show, where MICK JAGGER appeared, I said: "You didn't know anything?" He: "Of course I heard a rumour!" But he kept quiet. What a great guy. I went: "You Irish b...!" And he hissed: "I'M NOT IRISH!", smiling. Gazza, rest in peace, may the good Lord shine a light on you!
