Stews was a legend to us in our venture scout unit in the early 70s. He has left his mark on so many of us young people who were going out into the world at that time. Hugh, and others like him, provided a guiding hand through what we all know were very dangerous and troubled times. Cathleen and Stews opened their house to us a few evenings every week, it was a santuary for us. I personally owe a lot to this man and will never forget him. I want to offer my sympathy to Cathleen and all of Hughs family.
