The Regional Secretary, Regional Committee, Staff and Members of UNISON NI deeply regret the tragic death of our member and activist Lorraine in a road traffic accident and extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to Lorraine's family.
Lorraine was elected as Steward for St. Comgall's PS, Antrim where she worked as Crossing Patrol and was highly thought of by staff and pupils alike.
She was also a care worker in the independent sector.
Lorraine was a member of our North Eastern Education Branch and an active member of our regional Women's Committee. She was elected to UNISON NI Regional Committee in October 2015. Earlier this year she made her maiden speech at the UNISON Local Government National Conference.
Lorraine was a determined champion of women's and workers' rights.
She was held in the highest regard by her colleagues in the Union and will be sorely missed. Friday 29 July 2016 UNISON NI

Northeastern Education Branch of Unison deeply regret the death of their esteemed friend and colleague, Lorraine.
She was a dedicated and loyal member of the branch and she will be sincerely missed.
Our heartfelt sympathy is extended to the Clyde family circle.
