Dan McGrellis
Acknowledgment -
McGrellis – Banagher -
The family of the late Dan McGrellis wish to express our heartfelt thanks to our extended family, neighbours and friends for the support and sympathy shown to us following our recent bereavement.
Thanks to everyone who sent Mass and Sympathy cards, or expressed their condolences by email, text message or by handwritten letters. Thank you to those who sent flowers and those who made donations to SVP. Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions so many family and friends could not be with us personally, but we know your thoughts were always with us . To all who called to the house, brought food and offered assistance during the wake and funeral, and to all those who turned out in such numbers to mark the route or stand outside the Church to pay their respects, we are deeply grateful for all your support.
Thank you to Drs Knox and Byrne, all doctors, nurses and staff of Feeny Health Centre for their excellent and attentive care over the years, and to Declan and staff at Feeny Pharmacy, the District Nursing Team and Marie Curie for their invaluable support.
A special word of thanks to Fr. Micheál McGavigan, for his pastoral care during Daddy’s illness, to Fr Forbes, Fr Graham and Fr Dan for their guidance and support of the family during this time.
We are especially grateful to Fr. Micheál McGavigan for the Celebration of Daddy’s life and to John McNicholl for travelling a distance to enhance the celebration with his beautiful singing. Sincere thanks to Patrick and Conor from McGrellis Funeral Directors for the caring and dignified manner in which they conducted the funeral arrangements and to Shane for helping the boys dig Daddy’s grave. Thanks also to Margaret our Sacristan for all her help.
It would be impossible to thank everyone individually and we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all. Daddy’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, Banagher, on Sunday 30th August at 9.15am. Due to Covid restrictions Church numbers are limited but Mass will be available on the Parish Webcam at https://churchmedia.tv/camera/st-joesphs-church-banagher
