Beatrice, and the entire family circle of the late Dan Higgins (RIP), wish to express our sincere thanks to all who sympathised with us in our recent bereavement.

Thanks to the staff of the Causeway hospital, who looked after Dan during his final days. To the staff of Platinum Support and Care services, and Jackie, who cared for Dan so compassionately, during the last number of years. To the doctors and staff of Dalriada Family practice, and the staff of Mc Caughan’s pharmacy for their professional care, compassion and support shown to Dan and the family.

A special thanks to Canon Brian Daly P.P, for his support and conducting the requiem Mass.

Thanks to John and Jackie Mc Faul, for the beautiful music and the church Sacristan, Fergal for his help. Thanks also to Una Mc Kinley for providing refreshments following the funeral.

We wish to especially thank the kind relatives, friends, neighbours, and members of the wider community, who helped us during this difficult time. Thanks to everyone who messaged, sent cards, sent donations, brought food, and attended the wake and/or funeral.

We would also like to express our gratitude to Gregory, Michael Óg and the staff of McKiernan & Sons Funeral Directors, for the sensitive, professional, and compassionate manner in which they carried out and guided us through all aspects of the funeral arrangements. We are truly grateful for their personal attention.

The Holy Sacrifice of the mass will be offered for the intentions of all.

Dan was a much-loved husband, father, Grandad, brother, Uncle and is deeply missed.

May his soul rest in peace.

Dan’s months mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 9th June at 12 noon in St. Patrick’s & St. Brigid’s Church, Ballycastle.
