We, the family of the late Daniel Bartley, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother who died on Saturday 30th December 2023, would like to express our sincere thanks to all who sympathised and supported us during our recent bereavement.

Our gratitude extends to the doctors, nurses and medical staff of Kilkeel Primary Care Centre, Daisy Hill Hospital, Craigavon Area Hospital and Brooklands Nursing Home who cared so well for Daniel prior to his passing. Special thanks to the Palliative Care Team, District Nurses and Marie Curie nurses who treated Daniel with such dignity and respect upon his return home to Shannon Grove; their kindness will never be forgotten.

Thank you to Fr Dillion and Fr Cahill, who visited Daniel diligently, providing unfailing support to us as a family both in our home and during the wake and Requiem Mass. Our sincere thanks to Nicky Doran Funeral Directors for their professionalism and compassion throughout this difficult time. We would also like to thank Linda Gawley for her beautiful singing during the Requiem Mass.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who took the time to attend the wake and funeral, sent mass cards, sympathy cards and gave so generously to Mourne First Responders in lieu of flowers.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our heartfelt appreciation.

Daniel’s Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 27th January at 7pm at St Colman’s Massforth, Kilkeel.
