The death has occurred of:
Daniel Matthews
The family of the late Daniel Joseph Matthews, wish to express our deepest appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised with us in our recent loss.
A special thanks goes to all the staff at Broadways PNH who nursed and looked after dad for several years.
Our family, friends and neighbours who came immediately after his passing to mourn with us, who ensured that we had enough food, crockery, and chairs for his wake, who called every day to check on us, and helped with preparation for dad’s funeral.
To those who called at our family home, sent mass or sympathy cards, gave donations, sent messages of condolence and to those who attended dad's funeral, thank you, your presence and words of support have been such a comfort to us.
A sincere thanks to Michael McSparron Funeral Directors for their outstanding professionalism and the dignified way they carried out the funeral arrangements and for all their help and support during the wake and funeral.
To the clergy, Father O’Brien, Father Charles for your spiritual support, guidance and for the beautiful celebration of Requiem Mass.
To the Ugandan Community of Northern Ireland, you came to us and literally engulfed us. You organised amongst yourselves, brought food, drinks and stayed with us every evening late into the night.
Since we cannot thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our appreciation and thanks.
Dad's Remembrance Mass will be celebrated on Sunday, 28th of July at10.00 am in the Church of the Immaculate Conception Glenarm. The Matthews family.
