The death has occurred of:
Daniel McLAUGHLIN
The family of the late Daniel McLaughlin of 19 Drumavalley, Bellarena wish to express our sincere thanks to everyone who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement. Sadly, due to the COVID restrictions, we were unable to welcome you to our home at the time of Daniel’s death or to his Funeral Mass, but we deeply appreciate the many ways that you reached out and supported us. To those who paid their respects, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, letters, phone calls, messages, flowers and food, these were a great comfort to us at a difficult time.
We were especially touched by the kindness of our own family circle, our neighbours and friends. To those who called to the front door, lined the funeral route, or stood outside the Chapel, we thank you. We would like to offer our sincere thanks to those who donated so generously to the Foyle Hospice in lieu of flowers.
We extend a special thanks to Fr. O’Hagan PP for his great support and kind words. We would like to thank Liam and Janette for the beautiful music during the Funeral Mass and Doctors, nurses and all the staff at Altnagelvin Hospital (Wards 22, 26 and 31). A word of thanks to all the Carers, the GP, the District Nurses, the Marie Curie nurses and particularly Annette in the Pallative Care Team. We also thank all at W. J. O’Brien and Son Funeral Directors for the professional and caring manner in which they carried out the funeral.
Mass will be offered in thanks giving to all those supported and cared for Daniel and for all who have helped us in any way in our time of loss and grief. Daniel’s Month’s Mind Mass will be held on Monday 22nd March in St Aidan’s Church and will be streamed live on the parish webcam.
