The death has occurred of:
Dan McCAFFERY
We, the family of the late Dan McCaffery, wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to everyone who sympathised, prayed for and supported us through the loss of a much loved Father, Grandfather and GreatGrandfather.
Our sincere thanks go to our extended family and friends who attended Dan’s wake and funeral, including those who travelled long distances to be with us, and to all those who brought Mass and sympathy cards, sent floral tributes, social media messages, and telephone calls. Your kindness was deeply appreciated and brought great comfort.
Special thanks are extended to Dan’s wonderful friends and neighbours who visited him regularly. These visits meant the world to Dan and to us as a family.
We are truly grateful to Dan’s carers from Glen Caring for their kindness and compassionate care, and more recently to the dedicated staff at Hillcrest Nursing Home, Killyclogher, for the warmth and support they showed Dan during his time there.
We offer our heartfelt appreciation to Philip Morris Funeral Services for the professional, dignified, and caring manner in which they conducted Dan’s wake and funeral arrangements.
A special word of thanks goes to Father Devine for his fitting and reflective homily at the funeral Mass, to the sacristan for the thoughtful preparations, to Jacqueline and Eamon for the beautiful and moving music, and to the gravediggers for preparing Dan’s final resting place with such care.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation.
Dan’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Monday, 29th June 2026, at 7.30pm in St. Patrick’s Church, Greencastle.
