Declan QUINN
On behalf of the family of the late Decky Quinn we would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all who supported us throughout his illness and following his recent death.
To all the amazing health professionals who were with Decky from this diagnosis, their kindness, devotion and attentiveness was incredible.
All who called at out house to pay their respects, the beautiful stories of how he helped so many people, these will never be forgotten, the lovely cards, letters and special words.
All who prepared and brought food, it was so much appreciated.
Thanks to Strathroy Community Association who helped during Decky’s wake and on the day of his funeral and Donal from The Sandwich Company for supplying the food.
To Fr Kevin McElhennon and Fr Declan McGeehan who visited Decky during his illness and a special thanks to Fr Kevin who was with Decky on his passing giving so much comfort to us all, also the beautiful and truly fitting funeral mass he carried out, it was a perfect tribute to Decky. Thank you to all who contributed to the requiem mass adding a personal touch and to Gerarda McCann for her wonderful singing and her accompanist Bernie, he would of loved it. Thanks to the Sacristans and gravediggers for carrying out their roles with dignity.
To the children, parents and friends past and present from Strathroy Afterschool Club who did a guard of honour, it was such a touching statement for a highly respected man.
Special thanks to our undertakers Jay Maguire and Jacqui, they treated Decky with so much respect and carried out such a professional service while also showing us amazing support throughout.
As it is impossible to thank each and everyone of you, we would just like to express our thanks to you all.
Declan’s Month’s Mind Mass will take place in Christ the King Church on Wednesday 21st August at 7.30pm
