The death has occurred of:
Deirdre KANE
We the family of Deirdre wish to acknowledge the many kind expressions of sympathy and gestures of friendship and support shown to us in our recent sad bereavement.
We offer heartfelt thanks to our extended family and the many friends and neighbours who attended the wake and funeral mass and who provided practical and emotional support to the family. For all those who sent condolences, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards and messages, telephoned, brought food, or made charitable donations to the MND Association, we are truly grateful.
A special word of thanks to Fr Charles Byrne PP for his pastoral visits and support, for the beautiful Requiem Mass at St Mary’s Church, Rathfriland, and interment prayers at the graveside.
Our thanks also to Kerrie Kennedy for the music and singing that added so much to the Requiem Mass.
Additionally we would also like to convey our sincere thanks to all those who supported and helped Deirdre in any way during her illness, especially those who did so in recent months, including: the Carers from Peacehaven Care Services; the various health professionals from the Complex Care Nursing Service; the social worker, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, S&L therapists and other health professionals affiliated with the Southern Trust’s Physical Disability Team; the doctors and specialist MND nurses who attended to Deirdre; and her close friends who offered much-needed support and strength to her. May God reward them for the tremendous kindness, warmth and compassion given to Deirdre and for the dignified care she received from each one.
We extend our gratitude to Paul McEvoy Funeral Directors for their dignified, compassionate and professional handling of all funeral arrangements. Our thanks also to the Grave digger who prepared Deirdre’s place of rest.
Since we cannot thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere and heartfelt appreciation by everyone who sympathised with us.
Deirdre's Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 15th June in St Mary’s Church, Rathfriland at 10.00am.
