The death has occurred of:
Desmond McELHATTON
The family of the late Desmond McElhatton of Giboney Court, Cookstown, formerly Corvanaghan, would like to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all our kind relatives, friends and neighbours who supported us during our recent bereavement.
Our sincere gratitude to Fr. Hughes for his spiritual support and guidance and for celebrating Desmond’s beautiful Requiem Mass.
A special word of thanks to the Eucharistic Minister, the Church Sacristan and Gerry Loughran for providing the beautiful music and singing which made Desmond’s Funeral Mass so special.
The family would like to thank everyone who helped care for Desmond, especially the dedicated team at Antrim Area Hospital who took great care in looking after him during his short illness.
To the Doctors, nurses and staff at Cookstown Health Centre, especially Dr. Potter.
We are indebted to all those who supported us, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, letters, messages, wreathes, floral tributes, and expressed their condolences via telephone and social media. Thank you to those who stood along the route as we made the journey from the funeral Home. We took great comfort from their support.
A special word of thanks to the gravediggers who prepared Desmond’s final resting place with great care, and to all those who helped us in any way.
To Raymond, Clare and all the staff at the Millwheel bar for providing the lovely meal after the funeral.
We would sincerely like to thank Niall A Loughran, funeral directors, to Colleen and Joanna for their very efficient, dignified and professional manner in which they carried out all the funeral arrangements during the difficult time of Desmond’s passing.
As it is not possible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a small gesture of our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.
Desmond’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Friday 27thJanuary 2023, at 7.30pm in St. Mary’s Chruch, Dunamore and can be viewed on the link below.
