Dolway McCORRY
The family of the late Dolway McCorry R.I.P (Rose Lodge, Crumlin Road, Ballinderry) wish to express their sincere and heartfelt appreciation to family, friends, neighbours and all those who extended their sympathy and support following their recent sad bereavement. We wish to thank all who attended the removal of Dolways remains from the family home, Service of Reception and the Funeral Mass at St Josephs Church, Glenavy (including those joined via online)
We are deeply touched by the generosity of all who visited the family home during the wake, brought food and provided practical assistance and support ,sent mass or sympathy cards, phoned and offered messages of comfort.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Cannon Colm McBride PP (Glenavy) for visiting Dolway frequently and for his spiritual guidance and support and to Fr Vincent McKay C.S.S.p (Ardglass) for his assistance celebrating the beautiful Requiem Mass and his graveside prayers. Our sincere thanks also go to Fr John Burns (Glenavy)for his pastoral visit and to Fr Colin Crossey (Lower Mourne) for his prayers.
Our sincere thanks also go to Pipe Major Alistair McCleery and to Catherine McCallum for their wonderful musical contributions, which added greatly to the dignity and reverence to the Funeral Liturgies. We also acknowledge the minute of silence provided by St Joseph’s, Glenavy, GAC and St James’ Aldergrove GAC a deeply moving and fitting tribute.
A special word of thanks to the remarkable doctors and nurses at Crumlin Medical Practice, the SEHSCT: District Nursing Team, the Hospital at Home Team, the Heart Failure Team, Marie Curie and Hospice at Home NI Team, and others for their outstanding care and compassion shown to Dolway, you all made it possible for him to remain at home surrounded by his loving wife, family and friends, he was very fond of you all. Your kindness has been of great comfort to us during this difficult time.
Additionally, we thank the St Claire’s Community Hall staff for the excellent catering provided, your support has been appreciated.
Our sincere thanks is extended to Peter Eastwood Funeral Directors and team for their warm, unwavering compassion, guidance and professionalism throughout this difficult period. Their care and attention to detail were of immense comfort to our family.
It is impossible to thank everyone individually; we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our profound gratitude. A mass will be offered for your intentions.
Dolway’s Month’s Mind Mass will take place on Sunday 12 July, at 9.30 am in St Josephs Church, Glenavy.
