The wife Margaret and family of the late Dominic McElroy RIP, wish to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who sympathised and supported us during our recent bereavement.
Thanks to all who attended the wake and funeral, those who sent mass and sympathy cards, messages on social media, flowers and donations in lieu of Marie Curie. We also extend our sincere gratitude to relatives, neighbours, friends and local businesses who brought food etc, and to those who helped at the family home during the wake.
Our sincere thanks to Father Peter McNeill for his spiritual support and pastoral care to Dominic throughout his illness and for the beautiful Requiem Mass. Thanks also to Finbarr Keaveney for the lovely singing, the Eucharistic Ministers, the altar server and all who made Dominic’s Requiem Mass so meaningful.
Our heartfelt thanks to Cunningham Bros. Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements.
We thank all those who cared for Dominic during his illness, the Medical Team, McKeevers Pharmacy, the Marie Curie Team and especially the Home Care Team and Helen for the tender and diligent care shown to Dominic.
Thanks to Liatroim Fontenoys GAC for the use of their facilities and to the volunteers who prepared and served the food and refreshments following the funeral.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our deepest gratitude and appreciation to everyone who helped or supported in any way.
Dominic’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Chapel, Leitrim on Saturday 8th March at 7.30pm.
Dominic is loved and sorely missed, may his kind soul rest in eternal peace.
