Donna BURNS (née McGinn)

We, the sons (Niall and Sean) of the late Donna Burns would like to express our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for and supported us through our recent heartbreaking loss. The outpouring of support and messages only amplified the loving, caring and wonderful person that Mum was.

We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Thank you to the many people who called at the house, helped and brought food. To those who sent mass cards, sympathy cards, flowers, telephoned, sent texts or posted their condolences, they were greatly appreciated.

A special thanks to all within our local District Nursing, Marie Curie, Grange Family Practice and wider Healthcare teams who cared for Mum over recent times. Their personal yet professional care towards Mum shows just how lucky we are to have people like this in our community. We thank you all for your support throughout this sad time.

Thank you to Fr Declan McGeehan for his guidance and uplifting words at the Requiem mass and to Father Kevin McElhennon for his continued support. We extend a special thank you to all who helped prepare the church and contributed to the Requiem Mass, in particular, the music led by Noleen Neil and to Mums colleagues and friends from ASDA Omagh, whose mark of respect with a guard of honour was a fitting tribute to her time spent there. It truly was a beautiful service and a wonderful celebration of Mum’s life.

Thanks also to Jay, Jacqui and Michael of Maguire Funeral Directors for their seamless and tender arrangements; also the Gravedigger for the preparation of the grave at Killyclogher Cemetery.

Finally, to our family. There are no words strong enough for us to express our love, appreciation and thanks for everything you have all done for us and for Mum.

Our Lady Queen of peace pray for her.

Donnas Month's Mind Mass will take place at 9.00am Sunday 04th August 2024 St Mary’s Church, Killyclogher
