The death has occurred of:
Drew CALLAN
The wife, daughters, sons and grandchildren of the late Drew Callan RIP would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our families, friends and neighbours who called to pay their respects during our recent sad bereavement. We are deeply grateful for the support and kindness of all those who attended the wake and Requiem Mass, who sent Mass Cards and letters of sympathy and who shared memories and stories of Drew.
Many thanks to Mickey Clifford (Shantallow Stores), Dunnes Springtown, Iprint Design and Print, Xtreme Bounce, Shantallow Community Centre and all those who provided food and served tea and refreshments during the wake. To the Heaney and Callan families, thank you for being there for Drew especially in his final weeks and for your ongoing love and support to Helen and Drew’s family.
A special word of thanks to the staff and management of Oakleaves Care Centre who lovingly cared for Drew and provided support to his family, we will never forget your kindness. Sincere thanks to the doctors from Riverfront Medical Practice, nurses and consultants from the A & E Dept, Altnagelvin Hospital and the Ambulance Personnel who treated Drew with respect and dignity. You will remain in our thoughts and prayers.
We would also like to offer our gratitude to Fr Patrick Lagan for the lovely Requiem Mass and the pastoral support to the family, Denise O’Kane for the beautiful singing and those who provided refreshments afterwards in Ardmore Parish Hall.
Words cannot express our gratitude to Kieran O’Brien from Willie O’Brien Funeral Directors, Eglinton, for the dignified, caring, efficient and professional manner in which they carried out Drew’s funeral arrangements.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrament of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
Drew’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Columb’s Church, Chapel Rd on Saturday 6th May at 7pm.
