Dympna Mary Mc KEEVER (née McGurn)
The son, daughters, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren and entire family circle of the late Dympna Mary McKeever (née McGurn), R.I.P., (Gransha Park, Belfast and originally from Newtate, Florencecourt, Co Fermanagh), wish to express their sincere thanks to all who sympathised with them in their recent sad bereavement.
We wish to thank all who attended the removal of her remains from the family home and Service of Reception in St. Teresa's and Funeral Mass in St. Teresa's (including online), her interment at St. James', Aldergrove and also all who sent Mass cards, phoned, wrote, messaged and helped us in so many ways.
Our sincere thanks go to Fr Gabriel Lyons, P.P. (St. Teresa's) and Fr Colin Grant for all their Spiritual support throughout the Funeral Liturgies and for making them each so beautiful and personal, as well as to Canon Colm McBride, P.P. (Glenavy) for his prayers at the graveside. We also send special thanks to Clare O'Neill (organist), Members of both St Teresa's Parish Choir and Mater Dei (Crumlin) Folk Group for their immense contribution to her consoling Funeral Mass and all those, including Sr Mary Brigid and Monica Adigwe, who assisted in various ways with the Liturgies.
We especially thank Eastwood Funeral Directors for their warm and sensitive Funeral arrangements.
We thank Fr Raymond McCullagh P.P., Fr Gabriel Lyons P.P., Fr Stephen Thomas CSsR and also Eadie Fulton, Michael Mullan and Emmanuel Oppong for their spiritual support at Our Lady’s Home during Dympna’s final days which meant so much. Thanks also to the Belfast Trust Hospital at Home and Palliative Care Teams for their assistance in those final days. We thank Fr Johnny Doherty CSsR and his Redemptorist Confrères in Clonard Monastery whose commitment to celebrating Masses in Our Lady’s over the years made such a difference to Dympna’s life. We thank Fr Paul Turley CSsR and Fr Brendan Keane CSsR for all they did for Dympna.
We particularly thank the past and present Management, Nursing, Carer and all those Ancillary staff of Our Lady’s Care Home who loved Dympna, for their care and love of her over the last 12 years of her life. We record special thanks to all those who looked after Dympna as 1:1 Carers over recent years and the Belfast Trust Social Work Team and Our Lady's Management who diligently supported this. We are indebted to Dr Michael McKenna, Dr Shona O’Hare and Staff for their medical care and visits, as well as the Staff of McGettigan’s Pharmacy for their responsive support over recent years.
Sincere thanks are sent to all those who visited Dympna over the years in Our Lady’s. We thank Dr Raymund Shearer (R.I.P.) and Dr Kieran Shearer for their medical care in previous years.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere and heartfelt thanks. Holy Mass is being offered for your intentions.
Dympna’s Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 14th June 2026 in the Church of St. Matthias, Glen Road, Belfast at 10am.
