The death has occurred of:
Eamon HUGHES
We, the family of the late Eamon Hughes, wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all family members, friends and neighbours for their kindness, sympathy, support and generosity in the sad loss of our much-loved husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather.
To everyone who visited our home, attended the funeral, sent messages and cards, brought food, or offered practical help, we are deeply grateful. Your thoughtfulness brought us comfort and strength when we needed it most.
A special word of thanks to Kathleen for her tireless assistance in the kitchen throughout the wake.
It was Eamon’s dearest wish to have his final service held at home, surrounded by family and friends. That wish was fulfilled with such dignity, warmth and spirituality by Fr. John Heagney, both in our home and at the graveside. We will be forever grateful. We also appreciate those who participated in the readings and prayers of the Faithful.
The beautiful music and singing by Paul and Alice Donaghy deeply touched our hearts. This contribution was incredibly special.
We are especially thankful to Linda and Cathy, along with the District Nursing and Twilight Nursing Teams, for the gentle and compassionate care they gave to Eamon at home during his short illness.
Our thanks also to P Quinn & Son Funeral Directors for their guidance and respect. To Dungannon Golf Club for the refreshments after the burial.
Although it is impossible to thank everyone personally, please accept this acknowledgement as a small token of our deep gratitude for the love and kindness shown to us during this most difficult time.
Eamon’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Friday, 12th September, at 7.30 pm, St. Patrick's Church, Eglish, Dungannon BT70 1NG.
