We, the family of the late Eamon McSwiggan would like to express our sincere appreciation to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported our family throughout Eamon’s illness and recent bereavement. Thank you to everyone who visited and phoned Eamon when he was in hospital, and to all the many people who came from near and far to visit the house during the wake

A special word of thanks to our wide family circle, our very kind neighbours, and friends for their help with refreshments, parking and ensuring that the road remained safe for all users over the period of the wake. Thanks to all those who sent Mass Cards and Sympathy Cards and to those who donated to the Haemochromatosis Research Fund in lieu of flowers.

We are very grateful to the doctors, Rose, and staff of Sperrin Medical Centre, Gortin for their care over the years and to the staff of Altnagelvin Hospital, and, to the staff of Ward 41 for their professional and dignified care of Eamon during his short illness. We also thank the Hospital Chaplains, Fr. Lagan and Fr. Canny and a special thank you to Rev. Ivan Dinsmore who called at the house to pray and offer his sympathy.

Special thanks to Fr. Brian Donnelly, Fr Roland Colhoun and Fr Peter McCarwville SMA for their support, prayers, and celebration of the requiem Mass. Thanks to the Sacristan, the Eucharistic Ministers, readers, Sinead for the inspiring music, to those who prepared the grave and to the shepherds who formed the Guard of Honour.

We also thank the McGuigan Funeral Directors, Gortin for the professional way that they carried out the funeral arrangements. We thank Anne Marie and Liam Mossey and their staff for the refreshments after the funeral in the Owenkillew Community Centre.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere gratitude and deepest thanks.

Eamon’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Friday 10th February in St Mary’s Church Rouskey at 7.30pm.
