Acknowledgement
Late Eddie Porter
Eddie’s wife Yvonne, daughters Carolyn and Rachel, sons-in-law Jonnie and Marty, Eddie’s mum May, his grandchildren, brothers and sisters, wish to express our sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with us in our recent bereavement. Thank you to everyone who called at the house with Mass Cards, sympathy cards and flowers and to so many people who wrote to us personally from near and far with your beautiful words and memories. We found all of the above a great comfort. A special word of thanks to our family, friends and very kind neighbours in Hatmore Park for your generosity, assistance and support. To the Doctors, Nurses and Auxiliary Staff in Wards 24 and 50 Altnagelvin, we thank you for your constant care and support from November 2018 right up to Eddie’s passing. To the wonderful team of District Nurses who called regularly to our home and to the Doctors and Admin Staff in Shantallow Health Centre, we would like to extend our appreciation – thanks to you all. Thanks to Fr Canny for visiting and praying with Eddie in hospital and to Fr Farren for celebrating Eddie’s funeral mass. Thank you to Ann Marie Hickey and Aidan for the lovely music and singing and to all those who participated in the beautiful mass. A special thanks to Matthew at the Tasty Reel, Creggan Country Park for providing delicious food and refreshments after the burial. Finally, we are most grateful to Bradley and Mc Laughlin Funeral Directors for the sympathetic, professional and efficient manner in which they carried out all funeral arrangements.
We trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all in grateful appreciation.
Eddie’s Month’s Mind Mass will be held in St Eugene’s Cathedral on Saturday 24th October at 7.30 pm.
