Eileen McElroy, Omagh, Co Tyrone.
Died 28th March 2025

We the family of the late Eileen, would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who offered their condolences, prayers and support during our recent sad bereavement.

Eileen was a much loved wife of Tom and devoted mother to Helen and Peter. Precious grandmother of Olivia, Joseph and Daniel. Sister of Jimmy, Mary (RIP), Bridie, Winnie, Lilian, Kathleen, Emmerick, Bernie and Martin, sister in law, aunt and friend.

Thank you to everyone who called to her home, brought food or helped in any way, this was greatly appreciated. Thank you to Tyrone Diesel Systems for facilitating parking, and to all those who assisted with traffic management and parking. Our thanks also to those who sent Mass or Sympathy cards, messages, flowers or donations in lieu. Thank you to all those who joined us at the Requiem Mass.

A special word of thanks to Father Eugene Hasson P.P. for his spiritual support and the very comforting Requiem Mass, and to Father O’Kane and Father McElhennon for their pastoral care of Eileen and her family. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, the readers and singer Sinead Taggart who provided the beautiful reverent and uplifting music.

We are blessed to have had the love and support of friends, neighbours and work colleagues, throughout this difficult time, which has helped us in so many ways, to grieve as a family.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner, in which the funeral arrangements were carried out, and to the gravedigger Ciaran Maguire for preparing Eileen’s final resting place. Thank you also to Sheenagh of Bumblebee Garden for the lovely floral arrangements and to The Coach Inn for the refreshments after the funeral.

And finally, we send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to all the medical professionals and carers with whom Eileen came into contact, especially the doctors, nurses and staff of the Palliative Care Ward, Omagh Hospital & Primary Care Complex. We are extremely grateful for your wonderful care, warmth, kindness and compassion shown to Eileen.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our gratitude and appreciation. The holy sacrifice of Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Eileen is loved and missed every day. May her gentle, kind, generous soul rest in peace. Her Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, on Friday 2nd May at 7.30pm. Our Lady of Lourdes pray for her.
