The O’Donnell family wish to thank and express their sincere gratitude to all those who offered sympathy, kindness and support during the recent sad bereavement of Eileen.
Eileen was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and dear friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
We would like to thank everyone who kindly provided food and refreshments, attended the wake and Funeral Mass, and those who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, flowers and messages of support. Your kindness and generosity have been a great comfort to us during this very sad and difficult time.
A special word of thanks to all the carers and nurses who looked after Eileen with such kindness, compassion. We will always be deeply grateful for the wonderful care and support shown to Eileen and to our family.
A word of thanks to Fr G. Mongan of Longtower Parish for celebrating such a beautiful and comforting Funeral Mass, and to Fidelma Mc Namee for the beautiful singing and music which made the service so special. Thank you also to Stacey, Lauren and Deane for the lovely readings during the Mass. We also wish to thank Cloisters Café for the lovely food provided after the funeral, Shantallow & Lefair Community Centre for their help and support.

Finally, to all our family, friends and neighbours from Ivy Terrace and beyond, thank you for your love, support and kindness shown to us throughout this difficult time.

Eileen’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 31st May 2026 at 12pm at Longtower chapel.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all
