The death has occurred of:
Elizabeth DEVLIN
The family of the late Elizabeth Devlin wish to express our sincere and heartfelt appreciation to everyone who extended their sympathy, prayer, and support following the loss of our much-loved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
We offer our sincere thanks to everyone who paid their respects, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards and messages of condolence, attended the wake and funeral, or supported us in any way during this difficult time. As a family, we were deeply touched by the kindness and generosity shown to us.
A special word of thanks to all who brought food and helped prepare and serve tea, coffee, and sandwiches during the wake. We are especially grateful to Cordelia's Chip Shops on the Ring Road and Newry Road, Armagh, for kindly providing evening refreshments for the family.
We would like to thank Fr Barry and Fr James for their visits, prayers, and for anointing Mum in the days leading up to her peaceful passing.
Our heartfelt thanks to Fr Barry Matthews and Fr Alex for celebrating such a beautiful Requiem Mass and for the comforting homily. We are also grateful to Amelia McCormack for the beautiful music, which added so much to the celebration of Mum's life.
We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Dr Gail Nicholson, the Hospital at Home Team, Marie Curie Nursing Staff, the staff at Friary Surgery, and McKeever's Chemist for the exceptional care, compassion and attention they provided to Mum, enabling her to remain in her beloved home, as she had always wished.
Our sincere gratitude is extended to Elizabeth's Social Worker, Niamh Gallagher, from the Integrated Care Team (ICT) for the kindness, help, and support she provided to Mum and our family. Her dedication in arranging an excellent care package enabled Mum to remain in the comfort and dignity of her own home.
We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the Occupational Therapy Team (OT) for providing Mum with the equipment needed to meet her personal needs and ensure her comfort. Your care and support made a significant difference to Mum and to our family, and we are deeply grateful.
A sincere word of thanks to the care team from Ann's Home Care for their dedication to Mum over the past four + years, and to all the private carers and night sitters who looked after her with such kindness and compassion throughout the past year.
We are especially grateful to Navan Road Bowls Club for providing such a dignified Guard of Honour as Mum's remains left the family home. This was a deeply moving tribute and greatly appreciated by our family.
We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Bridget Mone Funeral Directors for the professionalism, compassion, and sensitivity with which Mum's funeral arrangements were carried out.
We also thank the staff of The Parkland Restaurant at Armagh Golf Club for the excellent food and professional service provided after the funeral.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a sincere expression of our heartfelt appreciation.
Elizabeth's Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, 15th July, at 7.30pm in St Malachy's Chapel, Armagh.
