We, the family of the late Eugene Kelly wish to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who sympathised and supported us during our recent bereavement. Eugene passed away peacefully on 17th April 2025 surrounded by his loving family.


We would like to thank the large numbers who attended the house, removal and funeral your presence was deeply appreciated. We are grateful for the thoughtful words of condolence, messages and cards we have received.


Our heartfelt thanks to all our family, friends and neighbours who helped at the wake, to those who provided us with food, refreshments and support through this difficult time.


Our sincere thanks to the Doctors, Nurses, Palliative Care Team and Support Staff of the SWAH for their professional care and kindness to Eugene. Thank you to the Carers at Home for your time and devotion. To Trillick GP Surgery, O’Hagan’s Pharmacy Trillick and the Renal Unit in Omagh Hospital thank you for your support over the years through Eugene’s ill health.


Thank you to Kelly’s Funeral Directors for their professionalism, support and comfort while carrying out the funeral arrangements. We thank the grave diggers, parking attendants, bus drivers and those who provided the buses for transport from the carpark at Trillick St Macartan’s which was kindly made available over the period of the wake. We take this opportunity to thank all those who supplied catering equipment, chairs and marquees at Eugene’s home during this time.


We extend our deepest gratitude to Canon J McKenna and Fr P McKenna for visiting Eugene, giving him peace and comfort especially in his final days. We are also sincerely grateful to them for celebrating his funeral mass in St Macartan’s Church, Trillick and providing a beautiful ceremony, which was a fitting tribute to his life and faith.


We would like to thank Sinéad Moncrieff and Ronan Warnock for the beautiful singing and music during the Mass. We thank Darren Breslin for playing Eugene’s favourite traditional tunes at his home, during the mass and at the graveside. Thank you to Trillick GAA Club who provided a guard of honour and Trillick Funeral Committee for the refreshments following the Funeral Mass.


We hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted as an expression of our deepest gratitude and most sincere appreciation to every person who helped and supported us in any way.


Eugene’s Month’s Mind Mass will be held in St Macartan’s Church, Trillick, on Saturday 24th May at 8pm.
