Eugene McMULLAN

The family of the late Eugene McMullan, Glenarm, wish to express their sincere appreciation to everyone who sympathised with and supported them in their recent bereavement.

Many thanks to those who prayed for Eugene and for the family, sent cards or letters, telephoned, messaged, called at the door and came to the funeral.

We were touched by the thoughtfulness of family and friends who lined the route of the funeral cortège and stood outside in the snow to pay their respects during the service (due to Government pandemic restrictions).

Eugene was remembered in several lovely tributes in the local press and online, for which we are grateful and which brought back memories, prompting many phone calls from old friends and colleagues.

A special word of thanks to so many neighbours for their kindness, generosity and caring support during Eugene’s illness and to the medical, pharmacy and caring staff who showed Eugene care and kindness.

We would like to thank the Very Rev. Dermot McKay for celebrating the Requiem Mass and Month’s Mind and the Very Rev. Francis O’Brien for his compassion in administering the Last Rites.

We acknowledge Ambrose McSparron & Sons Funeral Directors for their support and dignified manner in which Eugene’s funeral arrangements were conducted and those who prepared Eugene’s final resting place.

Grateful appreciation to everyone who assisted in any way in our time of loss.
