Fidelma McSWIGGAN
Acknowledgment from the family of Fidelma Mc Swiggan R.I.P.
The family of the late Fidelma Mc Swiggan, who passed away on 21st April 2025, wish to express our sincere thanks to everyone who sympathised with us during a very difficult time.
Fidelma is sorely missed by her children Lucy and Luke, daughter-in law Laura and grandchildren Mollie, Naoise and Rónan. She was a dearly loved sister, aunty, cousin, neighbour and friend.
We would especially like to thank our entire family circle, friends, neighbours, everyone that helped at the wake, those who brought food, sent mass and sympathy cards, called to the family home, sent their condolences, attended the funeral and watched online. It gave us great comfort in knowing Fidelma was so well thought of.
A special word of thanks to those who helped and assisted in any way at the wake and funeral service and we also thank the grave diggers for preparing Fidelma's final resting place.
Additionally, we’d like to thank Maguires funeral directors, Jay, Jackie and Michael, for the professional, compassionate and dignified manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out, also for their kindness and support during our most difficult time.
We also wish to offer our sincere appreciation to Fr Canning for celebrating the funeral mass and all those who took part in making it a very special time of reflective prayer in honour of Fidelma. To James McShane, thank you for the beautiful music and singing in the church.
We are blessed to have had the love and support of friends, neighbours and work colleagues, throughout this difficult time, which has helped us in so many ways, to grieve as a family.
Thanks to Drumquin Parish Hall for the use of their facilities and for providing refreshments after the funeral.
As it is impossible to thank you all personally, we trust you will accept this acknowledgement as a token of our grateful appreciation.
Fidelma's Month's Mind mass will take place on Sunday 25th May, 2025 in St Patrick’s Church, Drumquin at 11am and can be viewed via webcam.
