The death has occurred of:
Frances GILLESPIE
The family of the late Frances Gillespie would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement, sent mass and sympathy cards, letters of comfort, messages, flowers, made and brought food or helped during the wake. We all really appreciated the support and love shown by our extended family, friends and neighbours, whose kindness will never be forgotten.
To those who gathered outside the wake-house, lined the route and attended Mammy’s funeral in person or online, your presence was greatly appreciated.
We would like to give a special mention to Father Lagan for attending mammy at home during her illness and Father Farren for his support during the wake and lovely funeral mass and homily. To Sarah and her friend for the beautiful singing and music which so complemented the funeral mass.
As a family we would like to give a special thanks to all of those from Derry district and Strabane caring services, meals & wheels and her social worker for their support and attendance to her during the last couple of years, which she really loved, particularly Caoimhe and Joanne in her final days, two stars, who went above and beyond for mammy.
Special thanks to our undertakers WJ O Brien & son for all their compassion and professional dignified help, support throughout this difficult time.
We would like to give a special mention to Foyle Hospice, Marie Curie and the Pink Ladies for all of their help and support before and after our loss, thanks everyone for being there for us. Lastly but not least, a big thank you to the Republican Movement for honouring our mammy with the national flag.
Mammy’s Months Mind Mass is at 7.30pm on Friday 30th of September @ St. Eugene’s Cathedral
