We, the family of the late Francie Carron RIP, wish to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to everyone who sympathised and supported us during our recent bereavement.
Our thanks to all those who attended the wake, the funeral, those who brought and sent mass cards, sympathy cards and those who sent messages.
Thank you to family, neighbours and friends who brought food and helped with the refreshments and those who sent flowers.
Our thanks to friends who travelled long distances to be with us. We sincerely thank those who stood outside the house and along the route to the funeral. Your presence was a heartfelt tribute and a great comfort to us during this difficult time.

Our sincere thanks to Fr Maurice McMorrow, Fr Brian Darcy and Fr Peter Reilly who visited Francie during his illness and for their friendship, prayers and blessings. Thank you to Fr. McMorrow who celebrated Francie’s funeral mass with Fr. Brian and Fr. Peter. Your spiritual support brought great comfort and strength during a difficult time, and we deeply appreciate your kindness and devotion to Francie and all the family.
We extend our gratitude to all the staff and pupils of Scoil Mhuire National School, Swanlinbar for their touching guard of honour and for the beautiful whistle playing outside the chapel and also to the staff of Braeside Car Sales for their guard of honour.
We sincerely thank all those who made Francie’s funeral so meaningful. A special thank you to the Owens family for the beautiful music, the family for their heartfelt prayers, poems and music, the coffin bearers and to Denise Flack for her dedication in signing the Mass, allowing Brendan and his friends to access the liturgy.
We thank the medical and nursing staff in the South West Acute Hospital who cared for Francie with kindness and compassion. Thanks also to the hospital and community palliative care team, the district nursing team and Lakeside Medical Practice. The care shown to Francie and us, his family, especially in Francie’s last days was second to none and we are truly grateful for this. Thank you to the staff of Corry’s Chemist for their kindness to Francie over the years.
We thank Father Jimmy McPhillips for the relic of St. Peregrine, in whom Francie had great faith.

We are grateful for the use and facilities of the Cleenish Community Hall, Arney and all the staff of the Bilberry restaurant for the lovely refreshments served after the funeral.
Our heartfelt gratitude to Mr Peter Carty, Funeral Director, to Tom, Bernard, Martin and Maeve for bringing Francie back home to us, for their support, guidance and assistance in carrying out the funeral arrangements, for the dignified way in which Francie was laid to his final resting place and for facilitating family and friends to watch the funeral online.
As it is impossible to thank everyone, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.
The Holy sacrifice of the mass will be offered for your intentions.
Francie’s Month’s Memory Mass will be celebrated on Friday the 11th April 2025 at 6pm in St. Mary’s Church, Swanlinbar
