The death has occurred of:
Francis HUGHES
Hughes ( Coalisland and San Francisco)
The family of the late Francis Hughes wish to express our gratitude to everyone who supported us during our sad bereavement.
Sincere thanks to our extended family, friends, wonderful neighbours and those who sent Mass and Sympathy cards, flowers, posted on- line tributes, telephoned, brought food, called and helped during the wake.
Also, to those who helped with carrying Francis’s coffin, attended the funeral, watched via the web cam from around the world, especially in San Francisco, or indeed helped in any way.
A special word of thanks to Dr Aine Herron, Dr Evan Sharkey and the staff of Girvan surgery, district nurses, the Palliative Care team and the Marie Curie nurses who attended to Francis in a quiet and dignified manner and were always available to help at a moment’s notice. Your kindness and attention to Francis and to our family will always be appreciated.
Sincere thanks to Very Reverend Eugene O’Neill for his support to Francis and the family before Francis’s passing and during the wake and for his beautiful Requiem Mass.
Thanks also to Paddy Gates and to the Gravediggers for preparing Francis’s final resting place.
To Francis’s friends in San Francisco who cared for him during his illness, you were all so very special as friends and adopted family. The way you cared for him will never be forgotten. You were all exceptional and for that we are so grateful.
To Stacey, Fionnuala and Damien for the music during the funeral. Thank you for the beautiful addition to the funeral mass.
We would like to to express our sincere gratitude to Peter Devlin and Dermot Quinn of M Dorman and Son for their standard of professionalism and dignified manner in which they guided us through Francis’s wake and funeral. Your gentle compassion was truly appreciated.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgment will be accepted by all as a token of our appreciation and gratitude.
Francis’s months mind Mass will be celebrated on Friday 22nd August at 7 pm in SS Mary and Joseph’s Church, Brackaville Road, Coalisland.
