Frank and Rose McGILLION

The family of the late Frank McGillion and Rose McGillion, wish to express our sincere thanks and heartfelt gratitude to all who sympathised with us during our recent sad bereavements. We greatly appreciated the support from family, neighbours and friends who helped us out in so many ways during both Frank and Mammy’s wakes and funerals – your support was unwavering. We would like to acknowledge everyone who attended the wakes, who sent mass and sympathy cards, made phone calls, sent messages, food and flowers.

Thanks to those who attended the funerals, watched via webcam and to the family and friends who travelled a great distance to pay their respects. We would like to thank those who joined with us for Frank and Mammy’s final journey home. A special word of thanks to the nurses in the Intensive Care Unit who showed wonderful kindness, care and compassion to Frank and to the nurses at Hillcrest Nursing Home for the wonderful care given to Mammy. A special word of thanks to Father Danny Monaghan who celebrated Frank’s requiem mass and to Father Eddie Gallagher who celebrated Mammy’s requiem mass. Thank you both for attending the wake house and for offering the family spiritual guidance and support. A special word of thanks also to the Eucharistic Ministers and the Sacristan.

We are extremely grateful to McGuigan Funeral Directors for their support and for the kind, dignified and respectful manner in which the Funeral arrangements were carried out. To Mary Brines, Louise Coyle and Gerry Loughran for the beautiful music. A special word of thanks also to the gravediggers who prepared Frank and Mammy’s final resting place with such care. We would also like to thank Ann-Marie for providing the lovely refreshments afterwards and to Rouskey Community Centre. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a small gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude and appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Frank and Rose’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 25th September 2022 at 10am at St Mary’s Church, Rouskey.
