The death has occurred of:
Frank McGuigan
The family of the late Frank McGuigan would like to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us and sympathised with us following the loss of our much loved Daddy.
We are deeply grateful to all those who called at the wake, attended the funeral, sent Mass cards, flowers, messages and phone calls, left online condolences, and shared tributes on social media. Your kindness, support and comforting words have meant so much to us. We have taken great comfort in reading every message and hearing the many wonderful stories and memories shared about Daddy. It has made us immensely proud to see the impact he had on so many lives.
A special word of thanks to Brian Curran, The Tilleylamp, KC’s Diner, Bridies Chippy, Superb Platters, Rockwell Water, Barry & Stephanie Murphy, Alforno, Forbes Spar, McConvilles Nisa, Costcutters, Tallons Today and everyone who brought food and refreshments to the family home during the wake. We also extend our gratitude to Forbes Bar and all the staff for their hospitality after the funeral and to Maria’s Chippy for providing the food.
To the Committee, members and volunteers of Ardboe O’Donovan Rossa’s, we will never forget the incredible welcome home Daddy received, nor the support, organisation and assistance you provided throughout the wake and funeral. We are forever grateful and proud to be part of such a special club and community. To John O’Neill from Sperrins Photography thank you for capturing Daddy’s welcome home.
Our sincere thanks to Fr. Tremer for his support, guidance and pastoral care during this difficult time, and for celebrating such a beautiful Funeral Mass. We also thank the Sacristan, the Eucharistic Ministers, to Hugh and John, and Margaret Ann for the beautiful music and singing. You made our favourite song about Daddy especially meaningful and it is a memory we will cherish forever. We would also like to thank those who helped prepare the house for the Wake.
We would also like to thank our neighbours and the first responders who attended to Daddy with such care and compassion.
A heartfelt thank you to Conan and Pat of Lavery’s Funeral Directors for the professionalism, dignity and kindness shown to our family throughout the wake and funeral arrangements. Your guidance and support were greatly appreciated. We also thank the grave diggers for preparing Daddy’s final resting place with such care and also to Paddy Budgie for the beautiful surround.
As a family, we have been overwhelmed by the kindness, generosity and support shown to us, not only within our local community but from right across Ireland. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation and gratitude.
Frank’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Thursday 2nd July at 7.30pm in the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, Ardboe. The Mass may also be viewed via the Church webcam for those unable to attend in person.
St. Padre Pio, pray for him.
