Acknowledgement - Frank O’Flaherty, Tattymoyle Road, Mullasiloga, Fintona & formerly Belfast. Died 26th May 2024.

We (Michelle, Lucy and Sophie) wish to extend our heartfelt appreciation and warmest thanks to everyone who offered their condolences, prayers, and support following the loss of our Frank. Frank was a wonderful man, a kind and cherished husband and adored Daddy. He was a much-loved son of Phyllis and the late Dermot, precious son-in-law of Geraldine and Kevin, and a very dear brother, brother-in-law, uncle, friend, neighbour and colleague.

We would like to acknowledge the many gestures of sympathy we have received. We are grateful for visitors to our house, Mass and sympathy cards, flowers received, telephone calls, online messages and social media tributes. For the continuing love and support shown to us we are truly thankful.

Thank you to Loreto Grammar school staff and pupils for supporting and guiding Lucy and Sophie.

Our thanks to those who visited, from near and far, the wake in Grianan House Funeral Home, made and served teas, brought food and helped look after Frank’s nephews and niece. Thank you to those, including Fintona Pearses GAA Club, who managed traffic and carparking and Victor Johnson for car park access. To the couple who assisted on route to Enniskillen, thank you.

Thanks to those who sadly stood along Frank’s homecoming and funeral route.
We will never forget those who lifted and carried Frank with such love and respect. To our school friends and teammates who stood in guards of honour, your presence and support enveloped us in care and kindness.
To all those who were present at or watched the funeral Mass and mourned with us, thank you.

We add a special note of gratitude for Father Sean Mulligan CC, for his spiritual guidance and for celebrating the comforting Requiem Mass. We extend our gratitude to Mary the Sacristan and Kevin the caretaker. To our family, who carried symbols of Frank’s life, who read, said Prayers of the Faithful, and carried out Eucharistic Minister duties, thank you. Thanks to Meabh for helping to give out Communion. Special thanks also to Donna and Rory, who helped create a peaceful atmosphere on a heartbreaking day. Thanks to Niall for the poignant music at Frank’s graveside.

Thank you to Frank’s colleagues, friends and those in his outlets, we are so moved and comforted by your presence, cards, messages and stories about Frank.

Thank you to Pat and Vinny for the extremely caring and professional manner in which the wake and funeral arrangements were carried out and to Sandra for diligently assisting with all aspects of the wake and funeral preparations. Thanks to Tommy for lovingly preparing Frank’s final resting place. We also wish to thank Roisin for the beautiful floral wreaths and the kind volunteers in St Patrick’s Hall for the very welcome refreshments after the funeral.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff of Accident and Emergency in SWAH, the Cath Lab and Intensive Care Unit in Altnagelvin Hospital for your care of Frank and the support shown to the family on the most difficult of days.

And finally, we are particularly thankful to our special family, loving friends, and caring neighbours whose unwavering support and acts of kindness have been invaluable during this heartbreaking time. You have wrapped us in your care and compassion allowing us to grieve and remember Frank, whilst you are also missing him dearly.

We will endeavour to thank each person individually, in the meantime, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest appreciation. We are blessed to live in a wonderful community; the kindness of everyone will never be forgotten.

Frank's memory is treasured, his absence deeply felt, and he will be loved and missed forever. We pray that his generous, kind, gentle soul finds peace and eternal rest.
Frank’s month's mind Mass will be held St. Lawrence’s Church, Fintona, on Saturday, June 22nd at 10am. Our Lady pray for him.
