Acknowledgment from the family of Freddie Shields R.I.P.

The family of the late Freddie Shields, Moortown, wish to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to everyone who sympathised with them on their recent sad bereavement. Special thanks to all our neighbours, friends and family who came to the wake and funeral, sent mass and sympathy cards, calls, texts and social media messages. We are forever grateful and took comfort from your very kind words and support.

A special word of thanks to the staff of Coagh Medical Centre, Coagh Pharmacy and District Nurses who cared for Freddie with great compassion during his illness.

To Fr Tremer we offer our heartfelt appreciation for your pastoral support and for the lovely reverent Requiem Mass offered with such respect. We wish to express our sincere gratitude to Conan and Pat of Lavery’s Funeral Directors for their professionalism and dignified handling of the funeral arrangements and for guiding us throughout the wake and funeral and to Liam Lavery for bringing daddy home.

As it is impossible to thank you all personally, we trust you will accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.

The Months Mind Mass for Freddie will take place on Monday 26th May in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Moortown at 7.30pm and can be viewed via webcam (link below).
