On behalf of Vivien, Tara and Gerard, we wish to thank all those who sympathised with us following the recent sad passing of Gabriel, beloved husband and father. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended the funeral, sent cards and messages of condolence, or helped in any way. Your kindness was greatly appreciated.
A special word of thanks to Father Aidan O’Kane and Rev. Father Tom Scanlon of Tobar Mhuire Monastery for their spiritual support and guidance, and to Rev. Father Tom Scanlon for attending our home and conducting the requiem mass. It was a great comfort to us all. Thank you also to Deacon Jackie Breen for calling at the home and for his prayers and support, and to Finbarr Keaveney for the beautiful music.
We are grateful to Daphne Scott for the beautiful refreshments and to Teconnaught GAC for the use of their facilities. A special thanks also to all who travelled from Down GAA to be with us; we were deeply touched by your presence.
We also wish to thank the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS), the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS), and the Ulster Hospital for their help and support during such a difficult time for us.
Thank you to Patrick McEvoy and Philip Stranney for the preparation of the grave, and to Ethna Cahill, William Caffery and Christopher Quinn for their kind support.
To Martin, Claire, Gordon and Charlie of Charles Rourke & Sons Funeral Directors, we extend our heartfelt thanks for their professional and compassionate guidance and support throughout.
We trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation.
“A Beautiful soul is never forgotten.”
