George Johnston OBE JP
we the family of the late George Johnson wish to express our sincere thanks to all who helped and supported us during our recent sad bereavement, family and friends and those who travelled to be with us, attended the wake, funeral mass, called at our home, sent mass cards, sympathy cards, letters of condolence or who made donations to Gortmore Day Centre.
Our thanks is due to Fr Kevin Mc Elhennon for his home visits and Fr Malachy Gallagher for his attendance at the wake, the celebration of Requiem Mass and for summing up George's life so well and to James Mc Shane and Joan for the sacred music.
Thanks also to rapid response team, paramedics, the staff of emergency department, SWAH for the excellent care and attention George received and our grateful thanks to consultant and staff of ward 5, SWAH for their care of George and kindness to us. We thank Three Spires Surgery, District Nurses, Kevin Kelly and the staff of Kelly's Chemist. Our thanks and appreciation to Phyllis Kelly and her team at Gortmore Day Centre. To Lakeland Carers, North West Carers and Care Plus, especially George's carers, Nora, Siobhan, Celsus and Lynda Janefor their excellent care of him and us.
Our grateful thanks to Jacqui from Maguires Funeral Services for the way in which sh supported us, the dignity of the funeral and all the arrangements shi made to help us through a difficult time. To the PSNI our appreciation for their attendance at the removal of remains from home, at the Church and for traffic control. Our heartfelt thanks to our dear friends Moria and Patricia who have been our help and support thise past years.
Geprge's Month Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 9th May 2026 at 5.30pm in Sacred Heart Church Omagh
