GEORGE RANKIN NOTICE OF THANKS

The family of the late George Rankin, 47 Ardbarron Road, Castlederg, wish to express our deepest gratitude for the sympathy and overwhelming support we received during our recent sudden bereavement.

George was a widely respected person and a cherished husband, father, father-in-law and granda and whose absence has left a void that can never be filled, we would like to thank all our extended family, friends and neighbours whose help and support was greatly appreciated at what was a very difficult time. Thank you to those who sent cards, letters, flowers and messages and to those who attended the wake and funeral plus sent donations in lieu of flowers which has exceeded £2500. Your kindness was a great comfort to us in the days following George’s passing.

Special thanks to the district nursing team, GP Practice and the Marie Curie nurses, for the wonderful care and support that they provided in the weeks before George’s passing.
Sincere thanks to Rev Robert Keogh for conducting the funeral service & Alastair Patterson for the eulogy. We are forever indebted to all those who helped in any way, especially those who made tea and brought and prepared food at our home, provided food and helped with the beautiful refreshments after the funeral and those who assisted with car parking at the wake and funeral.

Finally we greatly appreciated the efficient and caring guidance given by Robert & Derek of Armstrong Funeral Directors, who carried out the funeral duties in such a professional and dignified manner.

Trusting this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of sincere and heartfelt appreciation from George’s loving wife Helen, devoted daughters Linda, Debra & Janet & family circle.
