Shaw – Georgina 26 August 2022 The family of the late Georgina Shaw wish to express a sincere thank you to all who sympathised with them on their recent loss. To those who sent cards, telephoned, called at the home, attended the wake or funeral we express our thanks for the support and care which was shown to us.
We would like to thank Rev Michael Currie, mum’s elder Alastair Brown and his wife Pauline and the ladies from Friends at First (Ida and Moira) and Sandra Black for the pastoral care and comfort administered over recent months. We would also thank the Kirk Session and Committee for the use of the Church Hall and facilities and for those who stewarded at the funeral service.
Thanks also to Finch Catering who provided a lovely funeral tea. A special thanks goes to the Herron family, the Watson family, Carol Lynch and all mum’s neighbours and friends for the care and comfort given to her over recent times. We are indebted to the social workers, carers, medical professionals and staff at Moneymore Medical Centre, Moneymore Pharmacy staff, Dalriada Doctors, District Nursing Team and the Twilight team without whose input we would have been unable to care for mum at home.
The NI Hospice team and Marie Curie team whose support was invaluable. Everyone went the second mile for mum and carers, Caroline, Sharon and others continued to visit her on their own time. We wish to acknowledge those who gave so generously in lieu of flowers for NI Hospice and Marie Curie.
Finally, we wish to thank Steenson’s Funeral Services for the professional, dignified and caring manner in which they conducted the funeral arrangements. We trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation and apologise if we have inadvertently omitted anyone.
