Acknowledgement.
Gerald Quinn.
Ashley Gardens, Omagh, Co Tyrone.
Died 5th October 2023.
Gerald’s wife Kathleen, children Paul, John, Lisa, Gerald and Damian, and his extended family wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for and supported us, through our recent sad bereavement. Gerald was a dearly loved Husband, Father, Father in law, Grandfather, Uncle and Friend.
Thank you to Paul Mulligan of Mulligans Bakery for his generosity during the wake and to everyone who called to the wake house, brought food, sent Mass or Sympathy cards, messages or flowers, lined the funeral route and to those who joined us at the Requiem Mass.
Thank you to Sacred Heart College Omagh for the use of the school car park, to Niall, Aidan and Stephen Donnelly for providing and driving the 2 buses, and to Paddy O’Neill, Adrian Donnelly and John Quinn for directing traffic during the wake.
Sincere thanks to all of our relatives, friends and neighbours for all their support which has helped us throughout this difficult time in so many ways.
A special word of thanks to Father Gerard Mongan for the very comforting Requiem Mass and to Fr Eugene Hasson PP and Fr Michael McCaul for their spiritual support and for visiting Dad in his final days. We convey our appreciation to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers and our musician James McShane, who provided the beautiful uplifting music during the Mass. Our thanks also to Father Kevin McElhennon PP for use of the Chapel.
Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger for preparing Gerald’s final resting place. Also to Sheenagh of Bumblebee Garden for the beautiful floral tributes, and to The Village Inn, Killyclogher for the very welcome refreshments after the burial.
And finally, we send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to all those who helped care for Gerald in recent times; the Doctors and staff at Grange Practice, Omagh, the District Nursing Team, Rapid Response, Denise Whittle, Fiona McKenna Parkinson’s nurse and Kevin Kelly of Kelly’s Pharmacy, Omagh. We are very grateful for all your help and assistance.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.
Gerald is loved and missed every day, may his gentle, generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest. Our Lady pray for him.
