We, the family of the late Gerard Grieve (RIP), wish to express our sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with us during the recent loss of our much loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle.
Our sincerest thanks to everyone who came to Gerard’s aid the morning he fell,
To the ambulance crew, the staff of Altnagelvin’s A&E department and especially to the staff of Ward 21 for the care they gave Gerard and for the support they gave us.
Thank you so much to all attended the wake and funeral.
To those who sent messages of sympathy, Mass cards, sympathy cards, floral tributes and sent food.
A special thanks to all our nieces and nephews and our wider family circle who supported or helped us in any way.
The most sincerest thanks and appreciation to Paul Dixon for being Gerard’s life long friend.
Also to Anne Blee and Tina North for the support and kindness they showed Gerard, we will be forever grateful.
Sincerest thanks to Fr Sweeney for his spiritual support during the wake and for the beautiful Requiem Mass.
Also to Fr McDermott for the burial in Saint Mary’s Tamnaherin.
To Joelene and Martin for the beautiful music in the church, thank you so much.
Thank you to Cassidy’s catering for the food after the funeral, Slaughtmanus GAA for the use of the hall and to the grave diggers.
Finally a special thank you to Seamus and all at McLaughlin funeral directors for their care, compassion and guidance with all the funeral arrangements and especially for carrying it out in such a dignified and professional manner.
As it would be impossible to express our appreciation individually, we hope this acknowledgment will be accepted by all as a token of our sincerest heartfelt thanks.
Gerard’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Church, Dungiven on Saturday the 11th of January at 6pm.
