The family of the late Gerard (“Meeks”) Meehan wish to express their sincere thanks to everyone who showed kindness and sympathy following their recent bereavement, especially close family and friends.
We are deeply grateful to all who attended the wake and funeral, sent Mass and sympathy cards, and shared messages of comfort and support during this difficult time.
A special word of thanks to Fr Joe Gormley for leading such a meaningful and dignified service, and to Ramon, Sarah and Robert for their beautiful musical contribution, which brought great comfort and made the service especially memorable. Also a thank you to Conor O’Kane for his drone footage, a memory we will cherish forever.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who kindly provided refreshments throughout the wake, and to the Gasyard for their hospitality following the funeral. Your generosity and support were greatly appreciated by the family.
We are especially thankful to WJ O’Brien & Sons Funeral Directors for their exceptional care and professionalism, and for ensuring every detail was carried out with compassion, dignity, and respect throughout.
We would also like to express our deepest gratitude to Foyle Search and Rescue. Our family cannot thank them enough for the kindness, compassion, and dignity shown during this difficult time. Their care and professionalism will never be forgotten.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a sincere expression of our gratitude and appreciation to all who supported us throughout this difficult time.
Gerard’s Month’s Mind Mass will be held on Tuesday 2nd June at 7:30pm in Long Tower Chapel. All are welcome.
Light bites and refreshments will be served afterwards in the Cloisters Café, within the grounds of Long Tower Chapel.
