Gerry CANNING
The family of the late Gerry Canning of 133 Galliagh Park, would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who offered support and sympathy during their recent sad bereavement.
We are deeply grateful to all our neighbours and friends who called at the family home, attended the funeral, or reached out in any way to share in our sorrow and offer comfort. Thank you to the girls who looked after the teas for the wake and helped out in any way. We are truly grateful.
Thank you to all the businesses in the area for providing the wonderful food and to The Cosh Bar for the beautiful refreshments after the funeral.
A special thanks goes to his brother-in-law Thomas for taking care of all the arrangements for the funeral we are very grateful.
A special word of thanks to Michelle Ferguson who went out of her way to dress the inside of the grave for the funeral. This was so much appreciated by all the family.
Thanks also to Fr Farren for the beautiful Requiem Mass and for attending at the house and also Fr Sean O’Donnell for his compassionate and comforting words.
We want to thank Anne Marie Hickey for the really lovely music provided at the funeral Mass.
Our sincere appreciation also goes to WJ O’Brien & Son Funeral Directors for their professionalism, respect, and the dignified manner in which all arrangements were carried out.
We trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a sincere expression of our deepest gratitude and appreciation.
Gerry’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday 7th May 2025 at 7.30 pm in St Eugene’s Cathedral. Everyone welcome
