Mary, Con Seamus and Rosaleen and the entire family circle would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all who offered condolences and support following the recent bereavement of Gerry. We are deeply grateful to Bill and Jane O’Hara and the staff of the Brown trout for their unending support and help to Gerry in the last year of his life. A special word of thanks in particularly to those who called at the hospital or nursing home, to visit Gerry.

A special word of thanks to the doctors and nurses of Kilrea Health Centre, Royal Victoria Hospital, Antrim and Coleraine Hospitals, Brookmount Nursing Home Coleraine, St James Lodge Ballymoney and to Martin and all the staff at Shield’s Pharmacy for their professionalism, kindness, and support to Gerry during his illness. We truly appreciate all the care and support shown during this time.

The family wish to especially give thanks to all the kind relatives, friends, neighbours and members of the wider community who helped them during this difficult time. Thanks to those who attended the wake, gifted food, messaged, sent cards, donated to Marie Curie in lieu of flowers and those who gathered along the funeral route and attended the funeral and burial, we are truly humbled and grateful.

We extend our sincere thanks to Fr Neil Farren P.P. for his spiritual support, guidance and for attending to his spiritual needs and celebrating the requiem Mass and graveside service. A special word of thanks to Jane for a touching eulogy which was a tribute to Gerry’s life.

Thanks to The Gribbin Girls for the beautiful music, the church sacristan Eddie Dempsey for preparing the church, Mary McNicholl for the beautiful family flowers, Aiden Reid for preparation of the grave and Barry Dallat and his staff for providing the tea at the wake and for an outstanding meal after the burial in the parish hall.

Finally, we wish to convey our thanks to Dempsey Funeral Directors Kilrea especially Brian and Mairead for all their support and professionalism in carrying out the funeral arrangements and for their continued support shown to the family throughout their sad bereavement and funeral planning.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation. The holy sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

The Month’s Mind Mass for Gerry will be celebrated on Sunday 28th June at 9.45am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Aghadowey.
