GERRY McKENNA

We, the family of the late Gerry McKenna, wish to extend our profound thanks and gratitude to all those who offered sympathy and support to us during our very sad bereavement. To all who attended the wake and funeral, sent Mass/sympathy cards, brought or sent gifts of food and flowers, telephoned, posted their condolences online or gave a donation in lieu of flowers for NI Chest Heart and Stroke, we are very grateful and indeed it provided much comfort.

We thank our wonderful relatives, neighbours and friends who helped in so many ways and for their friendship and ongoing support now and throughout Daddy’s life which will always be remembered.

Gratitude is extended to the Doctors and staff of Tynan Surgery for their compassion and care of Daddy which was nothing short of exemplary. We are forever thankful to those who cared for Daddy on a daily basis at home and for the kindness and support you provided. Our thanks also go to the District Nurses who attended Daddy and the staff of McKeevers chemist.

Our thanks go to the priests of the Parish and Mary Treanor for visiting Daddy over the years, to Fr McKinney for attending Daddy before his death, Fr Aidan McCann, Fr Greg Carville, Fr Sean Moore and Fr Paddy Hughes for calling to the house. A special thank you to Fr Sean O’Neill for his pastoral care and for celebrating the Requiem Mass, making it so personal and meaningful to all and Canon Crawley for assisting at the graveside. The funeral was greatly enhanced by the music provided by Joanne and Pearse and the sacristans who prepared the church and we extend our thanks to you. We offer a warm thank you to Madden Raparees GFC for the guard of honour which was very much appreciated.

Finally to Bridget Mone and all at Mone Funeral Directors for undertaking the funeral and grave arrangements with such dignity and professionalism. Thanks also to Nuala, Peter and the team in the Parish hall who assisted with arrangements and provided very welcome refreshments after the funeral.

It is not possible to thank everyone individually, but we hope everyone accepts this Acknowledgement as a sincere token of our appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of Mass will be offered up for your intentions. Daddy’s Month Mind Mass will be held in St Patrick's Church, Keady on Saturday 30th December @6.30pm
