Gillian Kerr (née Widdowson), of Swaton, Lincolnshire, Belfast and Saintfield, Co. Down, widow of Brian Kerr, Baron Kerr of Tonaghmore. Died on 25 July 2022 in the company of her sons, after a short illness. Greatly missed by her sons John and Patrick, her daughters-in-law Cathy and Rachel and her grandchildren Hugo, Dylan, Sam and Finn.

Resting at Norman McBriar & Son, Funeral Directors, 37, Saintfield Mill, Saintfield, Ballynahinch, County Down, BT24 7FH, from 26 July 2022.

Service at Norman McBriar & Son on 29 July 2022 at 3pm (also available to view by video link at McBriar’s YouTube channel.)
Reception at the Canada Room and Council Chambers at The Queen’s University of Belfast 4.30 – 6.30pm.

In lieu of flowers, Gillian has requested donations to the Lord Kerr Scholarship. Please contact Aoife McNabb: [email protected]

So sorry to hear of the death of your mother but the presence of both of you must of been of great comfort at the end. There are no words to compensate for grief but the happy memories we have of both your parents will remain.
Sadly we cannot make the funeral or reception because of prior commitments but you are in our thoughts.
