We, the family of the late Helen McGinley, Daisyhill Park, Derry, wish to express our sincere thanks to everyone who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement. Sincere thanks to those who paid their respects, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, attended the wake and funeral, sent flowers and those who brought food and helped during the wake. This was a great comfort to us at a very difficult time.

We would like to thank most sincerely Archbishop Eamon Martin for spending time in prayer with Mammy and the family and his support during the wake which we greatly appreciated.

We extend a special thanks to Fr Declan McGeehan for his great support, kind words and meaningful Requiem Mass. Likewise we thank Fr Noel McDermott for his support during the wake and Requiem Mass and would also like to thank those who took part in the mass in any way. Thank you to Fidelma Legg for the wonderful music.

We wish to thank the doctors and staff at Park Medical, Great James Street, Derry, the Western Trust Reablement and Hospital at Home Teams and the wonderful Carers from the Western Trust and North West Care who looked after Mammy so well. Thank you also to the staff at Derry City Council and the City Cemetery.

Thank you to W J O'Brien & Son Funeral Directors for the dignified way in which they carried out the funeral arrangements.

Although it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of the family's deep appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for the intentions of all.

Helen’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown on Saturday 25th July 2026 at 6.30 pm.

Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul
