The death has occurred of:
Ita O'Hagan
We, the family of the late Ita O’Hagan, wish to thank all those who sympathised with and supported us during our recent bereavement. We thank those who attended her wake and funeral, sent cards or messages and donated to St Vincent De Paul.
A very sincere thank you to the Newry Cathedral Bereavement Team (Marie and Catherine), and Canon Francis Brown for his pastoral care, for celebrating Requiem Mass, and for delivering a meaningful eulogy reflecting on a life well lived. Our thanks to Terence Rafferty and Anna Maria Boyle for the beautiful music.
We especially express our great appreciation to our good friends and neighbours who helped and looked after us during the wake and continue to do so.
A special thank you to all the emergency services who attended Mum on Monday 25th May 2026 for their care, compassion and professionalism that day.
Our sincere thanks to Cathal and all the staff of McAnulty Funeral Directors for their attentiveness to the family and their dignified and respectful organisation of the funeral arrangements. We are particularly grateful to Méabh who cared for Mum and presented her so beautifully. This was a great comfort to our family.
A Holy Mass has been offered for the intentions of all those who sympathised with, helped and supported us during our recent bereavement.
Ita’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 21st June 2026 at 10.30am in St Mary’s Chapel, Chapel Street, Newry.
